I
have a progressive disease called ALS (better known as Lou Gehrig’s
disease). I can no longer use my arms or my legs and in order to communicate
I use a laser on my glasses and an alphabet board.
I heard about an artist named Linda Bounds and how she was making some
very lonely people very excited and happy by teaching them to paint.
I asked Linda to teach me to paint and without hesitation she said she
would love to. I focus on what I can do, not what I cannot do. I want
to help Linda to build her organization.
- David Reiter
David spent the last 7 months of his life painting with
Linda, but before he died he wanted everyone to know that painting dramatically
improved the quality of his life and where there’s a will, there’s
a way.
